Are Your Office Copiers Working to the Best of Their Abilities?
If the office copiers are the hardest working members of your workforce, you’re going to have to make it worth their while. While employees are rewarded financially for their time and effort, your copiers need to be rewarded with regular and ongoing maintenance and servicing. The office copier carries a great deal of responsibility, especially when you consider that multifunctional devices handle nearly every task related to printing, copying, faxing and scanning. If you don’t keep an eye on it and make sure that it’s always operating at its best, your business image and efficiency will start to suffer.
At Raydian, we are a team that is tasked with keeping multifunctional devices and regular printers, copiers, fax machines and scanners up and running. And not just up and running, but doing their jobs to the very best of their abilities. When it comes to making sure that your office copier is doing its job well and effortlessly, there is more required than just doing a test run and seeing how happy you are with the printed results. You will need to ensure that the following regular maintenance checks are carried out:
- Clean the printer heads
Just be careful not to do this too often, so make a note of the date of each head cleaning. If you ever see white lines streaked across your printed document, then it’s a good time to clean the heads. Most printers can self-clean with a few clicks of some buttons, so read the copier’s manual to find out how to best clean your model’s printer heads.
- Eliminate dust and debris
If you experience a jam or streaks of ink across your page, it is likely that dust and debris are getting in the way of things working as they should. Canned air is often a quick fix, but it’s recommend that you use a small vacuum to remove dust particles and restore your copier to its former clean glory.
- Deal with paper jams calmly
Many printers have been damaged due to incorrect paper-jam solving. If paper is jammed, carefully pull it out using both hands. Don’t rip the paper out. Often, paper jams are caused by eared pages, or a dust and debris build up. Always consult the manual on how to deal with paper jams.
At Raydian, we can solve all of your copier maintenance concerns by offering you a managed printer / copier contract. This means that we will ensure that your printer is always running at its best, and that any problems encountered along the way can be dealt with and fixed up long before it has a chance to have a negative impact on your business. While we would love to supply you with office copiers and printers to use too, we can also assist with maintenance of your own existing copiers and printers. We offer a full comprehensive service, which means that in addition to printers and managed print contracts, we can also supply you with access to an extensive range of printing consumables.
Which brands do we service, maintain and supply consumables for? That’s the thing at Raydian – we won’t dictate which brand we think is better. What we will do is advise you on equipment, based on its quality and handling capacity. After all, an HP might be great for one business, while a Canon might be better for another. We have the insight and experience to look beyond the brand and pair up needs with specifications. That being said, we are a HP preferred Gold Partner. We do, however, cater to all copier and printer brands on the market.
At Raydian, you will find that quality is everything. If we feel that you would be better served by a different product or that your office printer / copier / scanner / fax set up isn’t ideal, we will advise you of such.
